Process summary

How the work was made

Click a step to jump to the artefact it produced.

Participants

70 survey responses, five interviews, and one moderated usability session across five tasks.

Result

A high-fidelity prototype of the Reading Buddy Generator validated end to end; chat bubble ambiguity and unwanted ordering options found and fixed.

What I would test next

A second round with new participants on the swap request flow, measuring task completion without help.

Outcome

  • A tested high-fidelity prototype covering the Reading Buddy Generator journey end to end
  • A moderated usability session across five tasks, with findings carried into the next iteration
  • A style guide and component library with consistent states across screens
  • A community feature grounded in 70 survey responses and five interviews

What I took from it

Three research goals opened a lot of paths but cost me focus - a tighter research plan would have saved time. Sketching low-fidelity before opening Figma, and testing the mid-fidelity prototype, caught problems that would otherwise have landed in high fidelity.
